Painting insight: When you’re already accomplished in your career, learning something completely new can be humbling. It takes time before your brushstrokes look like anything worth showing. But that mix of patience and focus builds results.

Career takeaway: Whether you’re transitioning roles, launching a new business, or entering a different industry, you’ll often feel like a beginner again. That’s okay. Embrace the learning curve with patience, pair it with focused effort, and the results will follow. Painting reintroduced me to the value of being a student again.
